Nichols was first, Geo Sheridan last (to 1913?) Rocks to stabilize, from Alpena, MI. Porch added later in 1898? Original "1859" sign. Note tower corbels.

C) 1937. With Thyra & Martha Deam under OxBow arbor. Fursman rented the 1859 Lighthouse from Gov't about 1915-1935 for $10/year. Deams sublet about 1933-5, then rented from gov't about 1936-7, before purchase closed. Founder of OxBow. Close friend & predecessor of Arthur F Deam at both Lighthouse and as president of OB (AFD about 14 years after his death). [Geo Washington/Abe Lincoln of OxBow]
